Frequently asked questions
How much does the yellow fever vaccine cost?
The yellow fever vaccine costs £65 per dose at MyLocalChemist. A replacement vaccination certificate is available for £15 if your original is lost or damaged.
How long does the yellow fever vaccine protect me?
A single dose of the yellow fever vaccine provides lifelong protection for most travellers. Previously a booster was required every 10 years, but this is no longer the case for most people.
When should I get the vaccine before travelling?
The vaccine should be received at least 10 days before travel to allow it to take full effect. The International Certificate of Vaccination becomes valid 10 days after your injection.
Do I need an appointment?
You can book a slot online above, or just come in when we’re open — both work.
